The theme is Cajun, but the biggest draw is the multitude of seafood specials listed on the dinner menu. Start with oysters on the half shell or a half pound of crawfish tails, then choose from a broad menu of red snapper, king crab, prawns or a bouillabaisse loaded with assorted seafood. Maxie's offers Southern food and hospitality. While much is Louisiana in inspiration starting with gumbo, jambalaya and po' boy sandwiches, there is Carolina pulled pork and shrimp with grits.
