Hooligans is truly a "super bar" as it brazenly markets itself. You half-expect to see a rugby team slamming its way through at any given moment. One night I backed into a big guy as I pulled away from the bar. Thebehemoth blocking the moonlight was former NFL gorilla John Matuszack. Regarding sports, Hooligans is a great place to watch a game. It’s not huge, but that’s part of the appeal of a cool bar tucked onto a corner of busy North Avenue. The food has always been a mainstay. This isn’t your corner tap fare with lean ostrich burgers, grilled portabella mushroom sandwiches, Cajun catfish fillets straight-up bar burgers. A huge selection of tap beers and bottles from around the world is on hand. You can sit outside during the warmer months and watch members of the opposite sex walk by. That’s a sport in some countries.

Would white supremacists, neo-Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan pose the same threat they do now if a mainstream Republican were president instead of Donald Trump?
