Not many Milwaukee performers have self-released enough great songs over the decades to warrant their own best-of compilation. With so many gems to his credit, Mike Fredrickson has no trouble filling his retrospective CD with 24 tracks. They range from good to superb, and he even omits my favorite, "Rope of Desire" (perhaps saving it for MF Shuffle Vol. 2). Both with The Mosleys and under his own name, Fredrickson became Milwaukee's master of melancholy yearning and resilient heartbreak in songs echoing the classics of the Beatles, the Byrds and CCR.

Given his political beliefs and past comments about women, is Judge Neil Gorsuch too out of touch with the mainstream to serve on the Supreme Court?
