It’s a good week for Southbound, the popular Milwaukee-jam rock band with as much reverence for the Allmann Brothers as you’d expect from a group named after one of their songs. With the Harley-Davidson festivities, Southbound’s brand of biker-friendly classic-leaning rock is very much in demand, so the group is booked to play a whooping five shows over the span of a long weekend. Tonight, for instance, they headline a free 9 p.m. show at the BBC.


The new owners of the Shops of Grand Avenue have revealed a radical redesign for the mall, which will include a proposed grocery store, an urban marketplace and contemporary office spaces, as well as the potential for a new name. Will the new owners succeed where past owners have failed in turning Grand Avenue around?
