Perhaps no Milwaukee band better conjures the sloppy indie-rock sounds of the Pacific Northwest than Jackraasch, a two-piece duo with wide-eyed songs a la Built to Spill, the livewire spirit of early Modest Mouse, and the stripped-down, guitar/drum dynamic of 764-Hero. The group plays a 10 p.m. show tonight at Mad Planet behind their just-released self-titled EP.


Some experts have argued that governors like Scott Walker are playing into terrorists’ hands with their proposals to close borders to Syrian refugees. Is Walker giving the terrorists what they want by choosing fear over freedom?
