Along with all the repackaging and retrospection it triggered, the 40th anniversary of Woodstock sent archivists scurrying for lost material from 1969. Recorded in concert, Tales of ’69 finds Arlo Guthrie in his storytelling mode, spinning many pointedly “groovy” asides in between numbers. Variations of some songs have been heard before (albeit this may be the lone version of “Alice’s Restaurant” featuring a Soviet scientist), but three have never been released in any other format.

Arlo Guthrie performs Oct. 21 at the Schauer Arts & Activities Center, 147 N. Rural St., Hartford.

Given his political beliefs and past comments about women, is Judge Neil Gorsuch too out of touch with the mainstream to serve on the Supreme Court?
