The Distorted Tales of Jasper Rude

Four Milwaukee music veterans and a lead singer-songwriter from South Dakota via Arkansas summon the kind of bluesy, dance-infused hard guitar anthems, introspections and goofs that would sound right at home on classic rock radio. That should come as no surprise, considering Jasper Rude’s many 1970s and ’80s points of reference. The act’s trippy album title and melting glass mask on the cover infer a wilder ride than the generally bluesy, retro-metal going on here, but if you're looking for some hometown relief when your Foghat and Billy Idol records are scratched, Jasper Rude may be the guys to fill that need.
