This past Friday night, my “Used Cars” was featured in the fourth Annual ARTiculate Exhibition at Gallerie M in the InterContinental Hotel. Although the styles and media of the art in the show were vast, this years theme—time—was ever-present. The opening was very well-attended and featured a poetry reading of works that accompanied and complimented the artwork.

Although the entire show is worth a look in-person, here are some of our favorites of the night:

Kasia Drake-Hames—“Decay”—Painted silk with felted wool, stitching and natural materials

Ruth Vonderberg—“Clockwork”—Acrylic

Julianne Hunter—“Modern Times”—Mixed media collage

Of course, Daniel Fleming's “Used Cars,” Acrylic and ink on paper, was the standout artwork of the night!

As someone who does not pretend to be a poetry expert in anyway, I will leave you with my favorite poem of the night, “What is lost over time,” by Carley Knight.

ARTiculate will be on view at Gallerie M in the InterContinental Hotel through April 10, 2015.
