5th annual NCECA National Juried Student Exhibition

 The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design is honored to host the 5th annual NCECA National Juried Student Exhibition, held in association with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts 48th annual "Material World" Conference in Milwaukee.

On view March 4 - 22 in MIAD's Frederick Layton Gallery with a reception Thursday, March 20, 6 - 9 p.m., the exhibit features 59 student works by 57 artists representing 39 schools across the nation. The exhibition expands on traditional definitions of the fine arts, decorative arts, craft and design in the context of the 21st century.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public, gallery hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., 273 E. Erie Street.


The new owners of the Shops of Grand Avenue have revealed a radical redesign for the mall, which will include a proposed grocery store, an urban marketplace and contemporary office spaces, as well as the potential for a new name.
