The Art of Music in MilwaukeeThe Art of Music in Milwaukee

Walker’s Point Center for the Arts opens its summer’s first exhibition, “The Art of Music in Milwaukee.” The exhibition celebrates Milwaukee’s passion for music through visual arts. This WPCA curated show will display over 80 pieces of artwork from more than 20 local artists and local art collectors all under one roof. There will certainly be a harmony of rhythm and rhyme, and a choreographed visual.

The exhibition is curated by WPCA Exhibition/Curatorial Committee Chair Michael Flanagan, who teaches art at UW-Whitewater and heads the Crossman Gallery.

The artists exhibiting include Von Munz, Arthur Thrall, Mutope Johnson, Faythe Levine, Hal Rammel, Amanda Schoofs, Paul Mitchell, John Hill, Dwellephant, Evelyn Patricia Terry, Christopher McIntyre, Ron Faiola and more. Visit http://wpca-milwaukee.org/gallery/ for a full list of artists and their bios.

The opening reception begins at 5pm. The exhibition runs through Saturday, July 12. The gallery is open weekly, Tuesday through Saturday between noon to 5 pm. Exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
