Have you ever felt like an insider or an outsider?  Are you sensitive to the current political climate of growing nationalism? Are you concerned with the worldwide migrations of people (voluntary or forced)?

Join us for the 6th annual Milwaukee Jewish Artists Laboratory Art Exhibition...“Outside, Inside: Exploring Boundaries and Otherness”.  Meet the show’s 16 artists, view their new artwork and share your reactions to their artwork.

The Opening Reception of the Jewish Artist Lab art exhibit will take place on Thursday June 8th, from 7-9pm, with a special program at 7:30pm in the Community Hall of the JCC.  The Milwaukee JAL is one of six Midwest cities that have been working on the same theme of outside, inside boundaries and its relevance to today’s world.

The 2016-17 JAL artists are, Bonita Bruch, Cindy Cooper, Helene Fischman, Peter Goldberg, Jody Hirsh, Barbara Kohl Spiro, Kate Mann, Laeh Bensman McHenry, Steven Pevnick, Bev Richey, Julia Shiller, Deanna Spanjar, Marc Tasman, Rochelle Whiteman, Deborah Wolf Lurie, and Clarice Zucker.

Help us create a lively Opening Night Reception by adding your voice to this very ancient and contemporary topic! Of course, don’t forget to have a little something to eat and drink.

The JAL art exhibit will run through September 15, 2017 and is free and open to the public.
