R: What do you do for a day job, and how does that effect your style conduct?
V: Currently, I work for a non-profit organization called Lead 2 Change inc. I am a Project Coordinator. The organization is Youth-led, which means all youth are in charge and we (staff members, board members, and executive director) over see their decisions.
My style philosophy is wear whatever makes me look and feel good. At work I have to dress more conservatively, but I add a few extreme touches to my outfit; whether it's jewelry, a hat, a piece of cloth, or a clothing item with a pattern or design.

R: Do any of your garments or accessories have a story behind them?
V: Yes. My father always wore rings except his were gold. My ethnicity is African-American and Puerto Rican. I would see my older cousins and father buttoning the top button on a shirts and wearing the rest unbuttoned. These are like the roots behind the way I style myself.

R: What are some other sources for your fashion inspiration?
V: The recipe I use for fashion inspiration includes looking at family photos of my aunts, uncles, grandparents and my parents when they where my age, as well as artists like Andre 3000, Erykah Badu, Pharrell, and Fonzoworth Bently. I love the root of things. I think people should refer back to there roots to keep updating and creating new ideas for there attire.
