It's Milwaukee Day and if you're looking to fully embrace the Milwaukee mood, here are five of the most Milwaukee places to enjoy Milwaukee's favorite beverage: beer. So get in your car, roll down your windows, turn on that new Illwaukee mix, look out for bikers and head on over to one of these spots for anything better than Milwaukee's Best.

Though this is a pretty obvious choice for any Milwaukeean, MKE Ale House boasts a patio with a picturesque view of the Milwaukee River and a diverse array of droughts from Milwaukee Brewing. Sipping a Louie's Demise at MKE Ale House is a summertime staple.
2. Hi-Hat

If you went to UW-Milwaukee or Marquette, you've probably thrown up at Hi-Hat/The Garage. Located right off of Brady Street, the bar is almost always packed with college kids and boasts Central Waters Mudpuppy porter on tap.
3. Riverwest Filling Station

Somewhat unfortunately, you can't have Milwaukee without hipsters. Riverwest Filling Station is a hipster haven, featuring 30 craft beers on tap and filling growlers until 9 p.m. every night. They've even got the phenomenal and rare Duvel Single on tap.

You can't drive to a Brewer game without seeing an "I Closed Wolski's" bumper sticker on the back of a car. The bar's been open for over 100 years and it's earned its place on the pantheon of legendary Milwaukee drinking destinations.
5. Brewed Cafe

When you think of Brewed, you probably think coffee, but there's no more authentic Milwaukee experience than drinking a PBR alongside the colorful regulars at Brewed Cafe. They've also got a great outside patio area, which somehow flies under the radar on a perpetually packed Brady Street.
