Racine Art Museum PEEPS Brand Art Exhibition

This is the 17th edition of an annual art show that features work made from or inspired by PEEPS, the brightly colored sugary marshmallow Easter candies. This year, for the first time, the display moves to a first-floor gallery space to accommodate a larger show. You’ll be able to see a range of colorful pieces inspired by everything from classical art to K-Pop Demon Hunters.
There are several activities that tie into the show, like a “Pop-up PEEPS Painting” session on April 7 and “Marshmallow Tales: PEEPS Story Time” on April 17.

Bad Bunny Egg Hunt

Not affiliated with the music superstar, the Bad Bunny Egg Hunt, for “adults only,” returns to Natty Oaks with over 2,500 hidden Easter eggs, filled “grown-up prizes and late-night surprises.” Leave the kids at home and if you find one of the golden eggs, you’ll get “an extra special surprise.” Check in is 9-10 a.m. and the hunt starts at 10 sharp. The event description suggests you bring a competitive spirit and “get ready for a chaotic, grown-up Easter morning at Natty Oaks.”

Spoof Fest

Two days of costumes, humor, and music, Spoof Fest’s line-up for Friday, April 10 includes musicians riffing on Robert Palmer, Screaming Trees, The B-52s, Stone Temple Pilots, and Salt-N-Pepa. On April 11, there will be spoofs of Yes, Danzig, The Black Crowes and Weezer. It’ll be two solid nights of not-so-serious rock n’ roll.
The show is at 7 p.m. each night, tickets are $20 each night and available at the door only.
Concinnity 26

With a theme of “Adventuring Through Concinnity,” this game and sci-fi themed annual convention on the Milwaukee School of Engineering campus features a range of tabletop, card, and video games, cosplay, panels and presentations and vendors. The special guests include over a dozen authors, voice actors, game designers, podcast hosts and more. There’s also a pain and take for miniature models, and you can get refreshments at Kawaii Akemi Maid Café and MSOE's FeelGood Chapter.
The event is 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Admission is free for children 12 and under and MSOE staff, faculty, and students. Non-MSOE student tickets are and children 13-17 are $20, general adult are $25. More info at: www.concinnitycon.weebly.com
Amorphic Three Minute Thesis XV

This is the 15th edition of the “Three Minute Thesis” at Amorphic Beer, in which “a dozen presenters will attempt to convince you of something that might not even be true.” The experience is “part science, part fun and part beer.” The audience votes for the winners, and if a theory isn’t panning out, it’ll be over quick enough. There is no admission or ticket required, but the seats fill fast so it’s recommended you show up early.
The event is free. Doors at 6 p.m., presentations start at 7.
