I keep telling people that I want to see a post-modern comic-drama Ken Ludwig/David Mamet mashup Moon Over American Buffalo. While that is unlikely to ever happen, Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo continues to be quite popular. There's a production of the comedy that opens April 17 with The Village Playhouse. The story of an older acting couple hashing things out while doing a couple of play in rotating rep in Buffalo, New York finds another production a little later-on this year with SummerStage. The show runs late July into early August in the gorgeous outdoor theatre in Lapham Peak State Park in Delafield.
SummmerStage is looking to cast the production this weekend. Auditions for SummerStage’s Moon Over Buffalo runs April 11 and 13 at Hawks Inn on 426 Wells St. in Delafield. The show is being directed by Zach Thomas Woods. Saturday’s auditions run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday’s auditions run from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Callbacks would be on Wednesday, April 15. They’re looking for 4 men and 4 women. No appointment necessary.
