Matters between people are rarely as simple as anyone would like them to be. Even the simple matter of murder can get hopelessly complicated as is illustrated in the family drama Moment by Irish playwright Deirdre Kinahan. A mother and her two daughters deal with the persistent echoes of homicide reverberating through family relations as a member of the family who killed his sister’s best friend has done his time and gone on to a successful life.
It’s been hailed as a remarkably sophisticated script. The contemporary drama comes to Milwaukee courtesy of Milwaukee Irish Arts. Directed by James Gallagher, the show stars Lindsey Gagliano, Sharon Nieman-Koebert, Nate Press, Sasha Sigel, Maggie McGwin, Zach McLain, Rob Maass and Annie Terry. This is a really good cast with a number of names that instantly pop-out for anyone who has been to local theatre in the past several years.
Milwaukee Irish Arts’ production of Moment runs May 7-11 at the Irish Cultural Heritage Center on 2133 W. Wisconsin Ave. For more information, visit Milwaukee Irish Arts online.
