You never know quite what to expect with a Quasimondo show. The experimental narrative theatre group always manages something really interesting and unexpected, which makes it staggeringly charming. I can only imagine what they must get coming to them for an open audition. Really, the open audition could practically be a pair of performances in and of themselves, but that would probably be counterproductive.
In any case, The Quasimondo Physical Theatre Company is looking for artistic collaborators for their 2015-2016 season. They strive for challenging, experimental work. I gather that’s what they’re looking for in people willing to collaborate with them. Who are they looking for exactly? From the announcement:
“If you are a Choreographer, Dancer, Movement Artist, you should be interested. If you are an Actor or Musical Theatre Performer, Spoken Word Artist, you should clear your schedule on August 1.
If you have experience in stage management, Set Design, Light Design, Graphic Design, Sound Design, Musical Composition, Property Fabrication, Carpentry, you should pencil in an interview on August 2.
If you are a Costumer, Make Up Artist, or Fashion Maker, we want to see your portfolio on August 2.
