Soulstice Theatre hosts a one-weekend-only celebration of J.M. Barrie’s beloved classic Peter Pan this weekend. The staged reading celebrates the 100th anniversary of the classic children’s story. The dramatic reading of the classic work will be followed by a discussion which will feature local theatre professionals discussing the legacy of the 100-year-old fantasy.
It’s a double-layered performance designed to appeal to both adults and children. Everyone enjoys the reading together. Afterwards the adults discuss the work and its significance while the kids engage in activities designed to be more engaging to them. It’s a very clever set-up for a show that will undoubtedly appeal to every age group. Tickets are half off to anyone showing up in a Peter Pan-inspired costume. This should be a fun atmosphere.
Soulstice Theatre’s tribute to Peter Pan runs June 5 and 6. For more information, visit Soulstice Theatre's website.
