Oconomowoc’s Theatre On Main opens the inaugural production in its new venue this month. As of this writing, the opening of the group’s latest show is tentative based on when exactly the construction will be completed on the space.
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee opens the new space, possibly this coming weekend. The Rachel Sheinkin/William Finn musical has a colorful group of students competing in a spelling competition. The show has been around for ten years and made it through numerous productions. It’s an adult comedy about being a kid in a stressful situation. Kind of like pretending to be a kid onstage in a brand new theatre venue that’s never been used before.
Theatre on Main’s production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee runs April 17-May 3. This weekends performances (which start tonight) are tentative based on construction completion. As such, they are unavailable for advance reservation. Walk-ins only. The new Theatre on Main space is at W359 N5920 Brown Street in Oconomowoc. For more information, visit theatreonmain.org.
