I’m just happy that there’s a show with the title Methuselah’s Guide to Online Dating for Those With Reading Glasses. That fact that it’s also billed as a “Comediatric Musical Improvity” that is making its world premiere in Sturgeon Bay only adds to how cool it is.
Located sort of at the gates to door county, Sturgeon Bay is one of those pleasant, little places you pass through on your way to the rest of the lower peninsula. There you will find The Third Avenue Playhouse. (Guess which street it’s on.)
While it’s true that the first online dating probably started with baby boomers, the modern world of online dating can be pretty bewildering for those over 40. This is a musical comedy about their exploits created by Todd Alan Little and Ira Sakolsky. Four older singles navigate the online dating scenem, sharing their experiences amidst coupling and uncoupling. Sounds like a fun premise.
Methuselah’s Guide to Online Dating for Those With Reading Glasses runs Jun. 18 - Jul. 3 at the Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay. For more information, visit Third Avenue Playhouse online.
