Well, I'm not going to lie to you: “Reefer Madness” is a lot of the same old stuff and, like I said in my original review, that's either a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what you like. Personally, I'm not a fan. I got a little bored with the original game and this download (priced at $3.99) is more of the same.
In this download, you'll be playing from the Vice Desk, and you can expect to chase down and interrogate a lot of bad guys who clutch silver dollars for a mysterious reason. Kinda cool, a little weird, and of course there's pot involved so you've got that going for ya. Still, it would be nice to see the development team try and do something different with their open-ended world. I mean, you get to explore L.A., which should give the developers creative license to do some neat things.
But not in this download. Again, it's not like we're playing Grand Theft Auto here … you're a detective and you need to detect some stuff. But still, a little creative in downloads will really keep players coming back for more.
I'm not reviewing the video game sensation aptly titled Catherine because, quite frankly, I think my girlfriend would make fun of me if she saw me playing something so weird and erotic. On top of that, I can't stand most Japanese animations, so I'd probably provide a pretty biased, angry review. So just read this review instead.
Click here to watch the IGN guys play Resistance 3. It seriously makes me want to buy a PS3.
