High Tea at the Three Lions Pub

The Three Lions Pub is bringing the tradition of High Tea Service from across the pond to just across the street!

Despite the stereotype, top hats, handwritten invitations, and elegant gloves are not required. Instead, the Three Lions Pub is excited to be offering High Tea, a low key, comfortable service, where all are welcome to enjoy! High Tea traditionally took place between 5 and 7 pm - the time that laborers would arrive home from their physically demanding jobs. We are moving the time of our High Tea Service up slightly but, keeping with the same relaxed, 'pinkies up' optional, offerings.

High Tea was traditionally an energy-packed meal designed to sustain those who worked hard all day long. Instead of crustless cucumber sandwiches and petit fours, workers would dig into meat pies, pickled salmon, cold cuts, bread & butter, and jam. Tea was also drunk in copious quantities. This is exactly what we are excited about offering!

Our High Tea Service is offered every 3rd Saturday of the month between 3 and 5 pm.

Reservations for High Tea ARE REQUIRED for there are limited spots available, within our 2-hour service.

The Three Lions will host your High Tea Service within our dining room, setting up your three-tiered-platter(s) with food options and offering Twining's tea choices upon arrival. You and your group will have an appropriately sized table/space reserved for your tea service.

There is a range of group size options for ticket purchasing. We offer service for groups of 2, 4, and 6. If you have an odd number of people in your group, please select the appropriate number provided and then use the 1 ticket option to add them on. If you are inquiring for a group larger than 6, please contact our Event Director, Sandy, at sandy@threelionspub.com.

Upon purchasing your tickets, you will be asked to choose the food options for your group. All those attending the Tea Service are offered 1 Sweet, 1 Savory, & 1 Sandwich. Please have your groups options in place when purchasing your tickets for your reservation.
