Festival City Symphony "Holiday Pajama Jamboree"

This annual free concert is designed for children to get up close to the musicians. Pajamas, Teddy Bears and blankets are encouraged as well as non-perishable food donations to the Milwaukee Hunger Task Force.
Bring the kids for seasonal music and stories at Festival City Symphony's FREE Holiday Pajama Jamboree concert on Wed., Nov. 28. 🎄 The concert will feature traditional holiday music and a sing-along of seasonal favorites. With background music from the orchestra, Milwaukee radio veteran Dan O’Donnell will act as storyteller, reading "Yes, Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus," "’Twas the Night Before Christmas," and "I Don’t Believe in Santa Claus."
Orchestral selections will include "Sleigh Ride" and "Christmas Festival" (Leroy Anderson), "Skater’s Waltz" (Emile Waldteufel), selections from "La Boutique Fantasque" (Gioacchino Rossini), "Christmas at the Movies" (arr. Kronstad), and "Christmas Music" (John Cacavas).
FCS encourages attendees to bring a nonperishable food donation for Milwaukee’s HUNGER TASK FORCE.
Attendees should enter through the main entrance on 929 N. Water Street. If they park in the Marcus Center lot, they are welcome to use the third level skywalk, which opens at 6:00 pm.
All “Pajama Jamboree” concerts have free admission. Music Director Emeritus Monte Perkins conducts the Pajama Jamboree series and Jayne Perkins hosts these popular programs that engage audiences and welcome children, parents, and grandparents to attend in casual dress or pajamas. The audience is invited to bring a blanket and sit on the floor, up close to “meet” the orchestra. Conventional seating is also available. Pajama Jamborees are best suited for children in K4 through fifth grade.
