'Quiet Bliss' ('In Grazia di Dio')
Milwaukee’s ninth annual Italian Film Festival presents a varied lineup of contemporary movies from the land of Federico Fellini, Michelangelo Antonioni and Sophia Loren. Comedy is the dominant note, including Song ’e Napule, about a classical pianist who nabs a gangland kingpin, but the lineup also includes Quiet Bliss (In Grazia di Dio), a drama about three generations of women in an economically depressed small town. Among other features is a documentary on Jews who survived the Nazi occupation of Rome, Gold Will Set You Free (Oro Macht Frei). All films are subtitled in English.
