Dear Ruthie,
I like wearing my wife’s panties before sex. It’s fun, silly and she seems to enjoy it. I don’t wear them for long before we get down to business, if you know what I mean. Not that there’s anything wrong with it, but I’m not a cross-dresser, drag queen or anything, am I?
—Panty Raider
Dear Raider,
Don’t get your panties in a wad, doll face. What you and the wifey do behind closed doors is no one’s bee’s wax but your own. For what it’s worth, it doesn’t sound like you’re a cross dresser, transsexual or even an underwear fetishist, but who cares? Simply enjoy the moment and don’t think about it so much! Slip on those satin thongs, sugar, and hit the sheets with your honey!

April 17: Eighth Annual Drag Show at Alverno College (3401 S. 39th St., Founders Hall): Say what? Alverno College has an annual drag show? You got it, sugar booger! The school’s Gay-Straight Alliance hosts this gender-bending good time that’s free to the public and open to all ages. In addition, the group is collecting toothpaste, shampoo and gently used teen clothing to donate to Pathfinders, an organization that helps homeless youth. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. See alvernodragshow.weebly.com for more.

April 18: Opening Night of ‘Rx’ at Plymouth Church (2717 E. Hampshire): Director Mark Bucher took his Boulevard Theatre out of Bay View and onto the road, debuting this comedy at a popular East Side church. Described as a “pharmaceutical farce,” this kooky comedy dissects the drug industry and takes pill popping to new levels. Written by Kate Fodor and featuring a cream-of-the-crop cast, the show offers a prescription for funny bones. (That sounds dirty.) Consult your doctor and then hit boulevardtheatre.com for show times and tickets.
April 18: Tan’n’Hide Party at Harbor Room (117 E. Greenfield Ave.): Like leather? Like cigars? Like shirtless men? Like drink specials? Wait, where was I? I lost myself at “shirtless men.” Enjoy it all at Harbor Room during this leather-and-cigar fest hosted by the Wisconsin Power Exchange social group. The sexy Saturday begins at 8 p.m. and doesn’t let up until bar close.

Celebrate days gone by, reunite with old friends and relive the craziness of a lost era with photos, videos, food, drink specials and laughter. As your hostess and organizer, Jane pulled out all the stops for this 3 p.m. event that concludes just as Show Tune Sunday begins at 6 p.m.
April 19: Bubbles & Beauties at Hybrid Lounge (707 E. Brady St.): April showers bring champagne flowers…and drag queens…during this sparkling celebration. Conclude your Sunday Funday as emcee Nova D’Vine simmers up a show featuring BJ Daniels, Shawna Love and me! Swing by for the 8 p.m. event, say “Hello” and help us usher in spring.
