It's been nearly a year since the Milwaukee electro-pop band released their single "Don't Go Quietly," a shimmery summer pop song that whet appetites for the band's debut album, Ocean's Daughter. Now that album finally has a release date: It'll arrive Aug. 21 on The Record Machine, according to PopMatters, which premiered a new single from the band this week. "Petrichor" is as radiant and immediate as its predecessor, a hopeful little tune that band tells PopMatters they wrote for a friend who passed away. It's the kind of effortlessly catchy track that Phoenix used to churn out one after another during their prime.
