From his influential speech during the Leopold and Loeb murder trial to his famous role in the Scopes Trial, Clarence Darrow is a courtroom legend, and an interesting subject for David Rintels’ one-person drama Clarence Darrow. Local actor David Ferrie, who shined in the Boulevard Theatre’s production of the two-person drama Roses in December last year, this time takes the stage alone, depicting the title character. Boulevard Theatre’s production of Clarence Darrow runs through Nov. 1.

Hey, looks like the high road intelligent people have a chance after all! Goes to show you that the real strength is going to be when black and white (and brown) work together, when rich and poor work together, when Conservative and Liberal work together. Low-brow back-biting and bickering is going to fail, can only create a wealth-destroying revolution.

I was talking to a Veteran recently, part of the basic training was that when in the trenches, on the battlefield, your black ass will need that white hand to pull you back up just as much as that white ass is going to need some black hands for help.

When we had the military Draft that pulled in trainee's of all classes, this "We are a well-oiled team" mindset was being delivered to the youth of the white Middle Class, even top 1% wealthy class just as much as it was being delivered to the working class and even the welfare class.

Today, we have an all-volunteer military, so this teamwork message is no longer making it to the impressionable youth of certain classes of people.
