The UWM Union Theatre’s African American Film Series, which runs Mondays through the end of the month, teams up with the UWM’s concurrent Festival of Films in French tonight for a screening of the 2008 Haitian documentary Jacques Roumain: Passion for a Country, about one of the country’s most respected literary and political figures. The film examines Roumain’s troubled life and enduring legacy.
