Jim Richardson knows where the bodies are buried. When he gets around to writing his memoirs it will encompass a huge chunk of Milwaukee music history.
He was into music before he saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan’s show and would later witness The Stooges and the MC5 at outdoor festivals.
The drummer played with Milwaukee’s proto-punk band Death, toured with The Lubricants and founded The Shivvers with Jill Kossoris. His resume also includes The Aimless Blades and the future looks bright for a project with his son Jim Jr. called The Lloyds.
He recently sat down with Sonic Rendezvous to skim the surface of a life in music.
