High cost of pharmaceutical drugs

Granted, address of the travesty of high drug costs is needed by the 'powers that be', but people can address the problem on personal level by minimizing or eliminating, to the extent possible, the drugs taken on a daily basis in address of symptoms. There is a wealth of information online and in community health literature/magazines to support people in changing to a healthy lifestyle, provided they are committed to improvement versus dependence on drugs. Also of great importance the change to a healthier lifestyle, appropriately named 'LIFESTYLE MEDICINE' (versus drug dependence) addresses the unhealthy diet promoted by the massive food industry, which it benefits from via profit as its motive rather than our health. Integrative and Functional Medicine provide answers to the sickness dilemma our society finds itself in and we are fortunate to have many practitioners in our community in support. This awareness and self action to change are self empowering.
