Cardinal Stritch University Theater presents the Tony Award winning folk-infused, hard-hitting rock musical based on Frank Wedekind’s 1891 play exploring coming of age in 19th century Germany.
Winner of 8 Tony Awards, this folk-infused, hard-hitting rock musical with music by rock star Duncan Sheik is based on Frank Wedekind’s 1891 play exploring coming of age in 19th century Germany. Re-introduced into the national spotlight through NBC’s “Rise” and high-profile productions across the country, “Spring Awakening” explores the hard issues of teenage life in a restrictive environment mixed with exuberant rock music and edgy style.
*Spring Awakening contains adult themes and language and may not be appropriate for children under the age of 12.

Spring Awakening is performed in the Nancy Kendall Mainstage Theater in the Joan Steele Stein Center for Communication Studies/Fine Arts building on the Cardinal Stritch University campus. Tickets are still available for pick up in the Box Office at the front of the Nancy Kendall Theater.
Tickets for general admission cost $14. Additional reduced prices are available for students, seniors, and Stritch faculty and staff.
