Opening reception: Friday, July 20, 5:00–9:00 pm

Milwaukee, WI – Creative Discoveries (6th Annual Art Show) centers artwork produced by youth during Walker’s Point Center for the Arts’ 2018 Summer Art Camp. Various mediums include video installations, fiber arts, ceramics, performance art and sculpture, featuring youth perspectives on the topics of community and identity. This 6th Annual Youth Art Exhibit will include a theater performance at 6 PM on July 20th. Theater doors will open at 5:30 PM.

July 20th will also be the opening reception for Walker’s Point Center for the Arts’ next Featured Member Exhibition, featuring Gary Warren Niebuhr. Gary is a found object mixed media assemblage artist, handmade book artist, photographer, and the last of four featured members selected by juror Della Wells for 2017-2018.

Opening receptions for both exhibitions will be part of Gallery Night And Day. Refreshments will be available at the opening reception, including Aguas Frescas provided by Algo Dulce. WPCA’s Gallery will also be open during the ‘Day’ portion of Gallery Night And Day from 12-5 PM on Saturday, July 21st.
