The Salvation Army’s Echelon MKE To Host Dinner in the Alley
MILWAUKEE COUNTY – Join Echelon MKE for the most meaningful meal you’ll have all summer. Dinner
in the Alley is back by popular demand. Often thought of as a place of “residence” for Milwaukee’s
homeless population, the event aims to bring awareness and raise funds to fight Milwaukee’s homeless
epidemic. The third annual event, organized by a group of Milwaukee area young professionals, will
feature dinner, a cash bar, and live music. A live artist will capture the ambiance of the night in a
painting to be auctioned off at the end of the evening. A community table to seat 100 guests will fill
Milwaukee City Hall overhang, 200 E. Wells St (between Market Street and Water Street).
As a follow up from February’s Red Tie in the Sky event, Echelon MKE knows the great impact of bringing
the community together to fight this tragic epidemic. The meal, accompanied by important
conversation, will do just that.
"Echelon Milwaukee has a vision to end homelessness," said Major Steve Merritt, Divisional Commander
at The Salvation Army of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. "Therefore, 100 percent of the proceeds will
support The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County's homeless shelter, the Emergency Lodge."
Tickets are $60 and can be purchased online at: http://salar.my/DIA2018
A social hour starts at 6:30, followed by dinner and live music.
Guests must be 21+ to enter. Please wear red to show support of The Salvation Army.
