#iVoted Concert: Lorde Fredd33 w/Tapebenders (6pm)

#iVoted, the national campaign aimed at bolstering voter turnout throughout the nation, is coming to Milwaukee. The concert will take place in Plankinton Hall at the Miller High Life Theatre, 500 W. Kilbourn Avenue (6^th & Kilbourn). The show is Tuesday, November 6, from 6:00-9:00 p.m., and will feature Milwaukee artists Lorde Fredd33 and Tapebenders. Entry is free for those who show a photo of themselves at their polling place.

#iVoted is a new initiative founded by entrepreneur Emily White, Mike Luba of Madison House, and Pat Sansone of Wilco/The Autumn Defense. The concept is to let fans into venues for free on November 6, 2018, when they show a photo of themselves at their polling station. The mission of #iVoted is to increase voter turnout in 2018 and beyond. #iVoted shows will happen in 33 states on November 6, and the Miller High Life Theatre event is the only one in Wisconsin. Lorde Fredd33 recently released NORF: The Legend of Hotboy Ronald. Pitchfork.com said, “On his debut album, the Milwaukee rapper Lorde Fredd33 emerges fully-formed. He is charismatic and nuanced, painting a complex, deeply-personal personal portrait of black life in America’s rust belt.”

Indie psychedelic rock band Tapebenders have been active in Milwaukee for 15 years. Their latest album, We Are All Gone, was released on April 27, 2018.

Situated on the second floor of the Miller High Life Theatre, Plankinton Hall is a venue within a venue – a 700-capacity room that features soaring ceilings and design detail original to the building.
