Raise the Roof! benefit: MKE NEW WAVE (5pm)

Much of the diverse programming at the Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts relies on audio equipment.  While recent donations have afforded us some basic new equipment, our unique space still lacks the AV breadth to support our educational, experimental, and collaborative projects.  We’re embarking on a capital campaign entitled ‘Raise the Roof’ to acquire a built-in sound system and technology to support recording, broadcasting, and instructional programming.

Wondering about the ‘Roof’ reference? This part of our fundraising seeks to ‘raise’ and replace our aged, flat roof.  Water is no friend to electronic gear, and the leaks in our roof (which splashed upon Dizzy Gillespie here in the 1980s) threaten our center’s basic functioning.  We want to do better, to create an environment where our growing community of performers, listeners, learners, and creators can thrive. 

Four nights, four concerts. Please come and help us raise the roof!
