Shorewood High School Drama presents: RENT: SCHOOL EDITION

The Performing Arts Department of Shorewood High School proudly announces RENT: SCHOOL EDITION as its Winter Musical. Set in the East Village of NYC, Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. The musical follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in Manhattan under the shadow of the HIV/AIDS crisis of the late 1980’s. How these bohemians negotiate their dreams, loves, and conflicts provides the narrative thread to this groundbreaking musical.

RENT: SCHOOL EDITION premieres on Thursday, January 24 and runs through Saturday, January 26.

                All performances will be in the Shorewood High School Auditorium (Gensler Auditorium) beginning at 7:oo p.m.

                Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students.  Tickets are available from any cast member, by mailing your order to Shorewood High School (Attn. Mr. Joe King), by visiting www.shorewooddrama.org, or by emailing the box office at BoxOffice@shorewood.k12.wi.us.
