Sixth Annual Cruisin’ the Grove Scheduled for Sun., Aug. 5

The Sixth Annual “On-Street” Classic Car and Motorcycle Show as part of “Cruisin’ the Grove” will take place Sun., Aug. 5 between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Presented by Woller-Anger & Company, LLC, event proceeds will again benefit TeamUp! With Families and Katy’s Kloset.
Located in downtown Elm Grove on Watertown Plank Road between Juneau and Legion, all makes and models of classic cars and motorcycles can register for the Show between 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., with entrance at the corner of Watertown Plank Rd. and Juneau Blvd. To be held rain or shine, dash plaques will be given to the first 100 registrants, with “goodie bags” to the first 200 registrants.
There is no fee to participate in or attend the Show, but a tax-deductible donation is encouraged to benefit TeamUp! with Families, a nonprofit organization that helps families of individuals with special needs through activities, services, and programs, and Katy’s Kloset, a nonprofit lending library that accepts donations of good, used durable medical equipment for children and adults. Featured attractions at this year’s event include:
• A Shelby Cobra from Bennett Coachworks, Milwaukee’s largest and premier automotive restorations firm, custom car, hot rod, and race car builder. The multiple award-winning company has played a major role in restoring some of the rarest, revered, and sought after vehicles in the world, including the Ferrari “410 Super Fast,” the “one off” darling of the 1956 Paris Auto Show, a car now worth millions.
• A 1911 Excelsior Model K Single motorcycle owned by Chris Tribbey of Caledonia. Tribbey is currently restoring the motorcycle, which has a 30.5 cubic inch engine producing four horsepower. He will be riding the motorcycle in the Cannonball Endurance Event that will take place in September 2018, starting in Portland, Maine and concluding in Portland, Oregon, riding more than 3,200 miles.

The Woller-Anger/Hagerty Youth Judging Program is open to youth ages 8-14 and is designed to get young people more involved in classic cars by interacting with owners and their cars. The youth judging team will be working with mentors and judging five cars from the show. The free program is offered to the first 15 children that register. Youth judging runs from noon until 1:30 p.m., with the winner announced at 2 p.m. For more information or to register your child, call Woller-Anger & Company at 262-789-2500. The Show will award six participant awards (first – third in car and motorcycle), with two Committee Choice (car and motorcycle) and one Youth Judge award. Howlin’ Jay will play music and provide entertainment during the event.
In addition to the display of cars and motorcycles, the event will feature a vendor/sponsor area, door and raffle prizes, and food and beverages available for purchase from local restaurateurs.
O’Donoghue’s Irish Pub and Silver Spur Texas Style BBQ are serving as the event’s coordinating sponsors.
