With their relaxed, slightly jazzy pop,The Samples are more than a band – they represent a culture of fans and music that go beyond who happens to be playing in the band at any given time. After a bad experience with a major label, the band began releasing their own records independently and touring constantly, building support through a grassroots network of fans. They were also the subject of the 2011 documentary, ‘The Best Band You’ve Never Heard’.
