Palm Tavern
2989 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.
744-0393
Since opening earlier this decade with little fanfare, the Palm Tavern has become a low-key Bay View nightspot, known for its inconspicuous blink-and-miss-it location, a dark yet welcoming interior decorated with music posters and thrift-store seating and a hip selection of recorded music. Owner Bruno Johnson knows a few things about beer and our readers have been eager pupils. The Palm offers some 210 brews from around the world, 90 of them from Belgium . It is a full-service bar, however, if you’d rather sip a vodka tonic and drink up the hipster ambiance. (D.L.)
