Milwaukee’s prolific self-published author, Scott Christopher Beebe, returns with the second in his ongoing series of murder mysteries set in Milwaukee neighborhoods. Show Stoppers of the Fifth Ward includes many recognizable spots on the city’s South Side and features the protagonist of Beebe’s “Brew Town Mayhem Mystery” series, Agnetha Xanthis. Like the author himself, she is an evolving character. “I have no idea where it’s going,” Beebe says, albeit he knows where his next Brew Town Mystery will be set—on Brady Street. “Milwaukee is very territorial. I think it’s awesome people have pride in their neighborhoods.
