It’s the lined paper on your grade school desk, your ABCs and primary numbers scratched out as best you can and it’s the geometry of life too. Don’t things run parallel most of the time, don’t they run side by side, shoulder to shoulder, or am I naive to feel we’re all on the straight and narrow? It’s dawn after an all-night snow, the cardinal sits on the pine branch as if posing for a holiday card.
