PHUN is a quartet from Madison, WI that plays the music of the iconic Jamband Phish. For almost 10 years, the band has brought the gospel according to Fishman all over the state. Founded by guitarist Mike Scieszinski in 2009, this group attacks the Phish canon with the focus, energy and the musical ability it demands.

PHUN will make the following stops this fall:

9/29 – Shank Hall, Milwaukee

10/6 – High Noon Saloon, Madison

10/13 – Short Branch Saloon, Fox Valley(Neenah)

“There's a reason people come out to our shows time and again.” says Scieszinski, “This band has an energy. Our maybe chemistry is a better word, the four of us have played together for most of our lives in some fashion or another. What ever it is, it's clear that something is working musically and we are just enjoying that.”

“I'm really into JRAD these days.” states Scieszinski. “It's the energy they bring to the music of the Grateful Dead that makes them special. It's like Joe Russo pulled the Dead off of his shelf, dusted it off, and injected it with new life. I want to do that with this band, but with Phish of course.”

PHUN incorporates as much of The Phish Experience as possible into each performance.  Vacuums? Trampolines? Wooks? Crazy Lights?  Anything is possible at a PHUN gig.  Except for Petrichor.   Not gonna happen, we have lives.  Great song though.

The songs on setlists are decided upon with input from everybody possible.  Songs often get voted onto a setlist over social media; allowing an interactive set list experience for each show.  People have described that moment they hear the song they rallied for online played by the band as: “mildly fulfilling.”

Almost anyone who is a fan of Phish, is going to enjoy a PHUN show (for obvious reasons).  The band aims to create a safe space for any and all to enjoy the groove; good vibes, kindness and respect.  Some sit, some stand, some dance, and some sway; but everybody is entitled to a little PHUN!
