I am pleased to have the opportunity to welcome you to be one of our regal guest at this year’s annual Queen BEE Ball. “My Father’s Daughters Network” organizes The Queen BEE Ball as an uplifting community event to encourage and empower women who are servicing tough urban areas. The Queen BEE Ball will be held October 19, 2018 at the Pfister Hotel Grand Ball Room, 7pm. This fall we will be honoring extraordinary women, highlighting their contributions and offering as well as encouraging support for their work. Our special guest will be Senator Lena Taylor, Democratic Member of the Wisconsin Senate.
Our praiseworthy candidates will be: Connie Lindsey, Corporate Executive, Northern Trust, Chicago, IL, Former National Board President Girls Scouts USA,
Activist Maria A. Hamilton, CEO Mothers for Justice-United
Reverend Dr. Linda Lee, Bishop Emeritus UMC, Bishop in Residence Garrett Seminary
Michell Luckett-Pitts, CEO New Pitts Mortuary and
Elder Trudie Foote’-Strickland, Historic New Testament Full Gospel Baptist Church, Chicago, IL.
Our primary goal is to recognize and pay tribute to the women who labor in extremely challenging servicing areas. The main purpose of this coverage is to highlight their accomplishments and inspire the next generation of women. Our communication will be artistically expressed in poetry, music and dance. For this worthwhile occasion we have planned a festive night of pageantry and excitement for all to enjoy.
News worthy among these women will be Activist Maria Hamilton, CEO of Mothers for Justice-United. Her grass-roots organization has gained national interest with a model of peaceful protest surrounding the Dante Hamilton controversial police involved shooting death here in Milwaukee, WI. The core of her mission is to help mothers of victims re-orientate their lives amid crisis. She has been successful in touching the lives of many of these women across the country. Several of the other women are working directly with at-risk teen age girls to intervene and prevent human sex trafficking. Among these women will be Connie Lindsey current executive member and former national board president of the Girls Scouts USA.
