Maison, a modern French restaurant located at 5921 W. Vliet St., will host a Patio Wine Tasting on Sunday, Aug. 26.
The event will feature a $20 wine flight with an eclectic mix of six French wines, none of which are available at retail stores. The wines include Gewurztraminer, Cave de Ribeauville, Alsace; Pinot Blanc, Cave de Ribeauville, Alsace; Chardonnay-Grand Ardeche, Louis Latour, Ardeche; Pinot Noir-Domaine de Valmoissine, Louis Latour, Var; Cotes-du-Rhone, Domaine Nicolas Croze, Rhone-Sud and Bordeaux, Chateau Lagrugere rouge. All wines will be available for purchase.
Also available for purchase will be small plates such as charcuterie boards, cheese plates, flatbreads and other light appetizers.
Out on the patio, where the event will be held weather permitting, are two lounge areas and a fire pit, accented by Maison’s beautiful French murals. Also on the patio, attendees will be able to take advantage of the restaurant’s new humidor, with a cigar selection ranging from big robust flavors to blends to cigarillos. Prices range from $35 down to around $6.50.
Maison has done wine dinners in the past, but this patio wine tasting will be the first of its kind at the restaurant. The event is a part of owner and executive chef Michael Quinn’s goal to bring the community together around fine foods and delicious wine.
