Navy veteran and small-business owner Tom Palzewicz is taking on 40-year career politician James Sensenbrenner to bring bipartisanship and a focus on equality back to the Fifth Congressional District. We endorse Palzewicz for his proven ability to create jobs, along with his beliefs that healthcare is a right, and public education is the most important path to opportunity. A hunter and former NRA member (back when the group focused on firearms training and safety), he now fearlessly stands up to the NRA, insurance companies, polluters and politicians who have neglected our state’s roads and other infrastructure.

40 years? What did Sensenbrenner do?

Jimmy Carter was president when James Sensenbrenner was elected.

What did James achieve in those 40 years?

Did he bring Civil Rights to an end?
Did he stop Obama from being elected?
He is a failure as a Conservative Republican, time to retire the old man.

Many Conservative people blame Jimmy Carter for the inflation of the 70's, but just like Trump being given credit for the "booming economy" that just took time to bring about from Obama era policies, people forget that it took time for rampant inflation to become a problem, and Jimmy Carter was in the Oval Office when inflation finally became the elephant in the room.

This inflation was caused by Republican Richard Nixon, the man who took our US Dollar off of the gold standard in 1970. That is what caused inflation, not Jimmy Carter.

Reagan followed Carter, and what he did was first take the 70% top tax bracket down to 50%. While workers were getting pay raises due to inflation, Reagan also started dropping the tax brackets year by year to get more and more people crossed over that line and taken from 15% up to 50% taxes.

It was a Republican who started taxing the Middle Class in his first 4 years. His next 4 years was to drop the wealthy people's top tax rate to 28%, the final nail in the coffin. His first 4 years shifted the federal tax burden from the rich to the Middle Class (yeah, you white Christian voters living in the suburbs and not California estates.)

That gave Business executives the incentive to start taking money out of US businesses instead of keeping the businesses cash flush. They started investing in "emerging economies" which meant they started building factories in China, Pakistan, Southeast Asia, the beginning of out-sourcing our US jobs... all in the name of more profits for the stockholders of these businesses, the nameless and secret owners. Not the documented workers.

This was also the birth of the Corporate Raiders that also bleed cash out of the good businesses before they were shut down. US businesses shut down so that our distributors and retailers were buying from the foreign factories instead.

And what did Sensenbrenner do to stop this? Nothing!

Another economic fact. The point in time when "Americans" were "most equal" as far as the gap between rich and poor was logged as 1973. Have working people felt any real relief since with all the Republican changes? Hmmm?

We need a change, ASAP.
