For four years, the long-running Grove restaurant, occupying a prime spot in the heart of Elm Grove, has sat vacant. Finally, this spring, the space was filled by a new restaurant, Rewined (890 Elm Grove Road). As the name suggests, wine is their specialty—empty bottles are prominent in the décor and the wine list includes some 60 titles. But the eclectic menu is also worth checking out, with appetizers ranging from hummus to guacamole and short lists of attractively served (and generously portioned) salads, sandwiches and entrées. Every day brings a soup special, an entrée special and the market pasta dish du jour. Prices are reasonable, the service is friendly and the outdoor dining in the courtyard is a pleasure this time of year. x
