This week on The Disclaimer, WMSE's weekly culture chat with Ryan Schleicher, Matt Wild and I, we're sharing another round of quick hot takes as part of WMSE's Fall Membership Drive. We start by talking about the one thing everybody else is talking about: The Hop. We share our first impressions of the streetcar, and by and large we're impressed, save for a few quibbles. How thought it was a good idea to make the shelters on the Hop's elevated platforms so tiny? Wouldn't commutes prefer some actual protection from the elements? From there we dive into a bunch of other topics, including the Milwaukee Public Museum, the Milwaukee Film Festival and the Light the Hoan campaign. Some takes are hotter than others—and some aren't particularly hot—but we do our best.
