Chris Crites has branded himself as the Bag Painter, and it’s easy enough to see why. In place of the traditional canvas, he paints directly onto recycled paper shopping bags. Crites, who has a particular affinity for iconic images, Andy Warhol-styled pop art and, most uniquely, painted mug shots, is displaying a selection of his recent work at the Paper Boat Boutique and Gallery throughout February.
