For decades, Dr. Cornel West has been one of the country's go-to experts on matters of race relations. The scholar and early supporter of Barack Obama has been in the news frequently as his criticisms of the president have sharpened; tonight he'll be speaking at a free program titled "Democracy in Crisis: From Economic Austerity to Racism."
