In their season finale, Master Singers of Milwaukee survey the city’s multicultural heritage through folksong, art song, madrigals and more. Works as time honored as “Danny Boy” and “Sakura” (the latter described by chorister Martha Stoner as “the go-to Japanese tune”), as weighty as German composer Hugo Wolf’s “Der Feuerreiter,” and spanning the Renaissance through modern times, are on the program. Stas Vengelevski (bayan) and Misha Litvin (mandolin) contribute instrumental interludes. The Master Singer’s “A Grand Heritage: Celebrating the Cultures of Milwaukee” concert takes place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, at the Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts, Room 280, 2419 E. Kenwood Blvd. For tickets, call 888-744-2226 or visit. For tickets, call 888-744-2226 or visit mastersingersofmilwaukee.org.
